When choosing interior, still-life or architectural shots, we’re looking for eye-catching, trending colours. Or something soft and soothing. Or maybe energizing. Luckily, Pantone released their home and interiors 2018 guide, with several different palettes. Faced with so much choice, it’s making us feel a little moonstruck. Pantone looked for global influences in our “connected and culturally diverse world”, mixing diverse colours and shades. From Intricacy to Verdue and Discretion to TECH-nique, there’s a palette for every taste, every project.
Today, with our Far Flung interiors gallery, we’re highlighting the “far fetched” palette, in a couple of different ways. Of course we’re highlight the colours of the palette itself, which draws on multicultural design influences: we’re showcasing three shades of pink (Millennial Pink anyone?) with Ruby Wine (burgundy) and Iced Coffee (neutral) and paired all that with a couple of Terracotta shades, plus Cornsilk Yellow and Grayed-Blue Tourmaline. The palette embraces different cultures and colour pairings, so we’ve scoured our collection for interior and exterior shots, finding gorgeous colours and intriguing textures from around the world. From Tennessee to Thailand, see the intricate patterns, textures and forms from myriad cultures and locales.
